Texas State University Dining Halls Open to Students with ID

February 18, 2021

Dear Students, Faculty, and Staff,

Texas State University continues to address the impact of the extreme weather in San Marcos where the majority of our students live in on-campus university-operated residence halls or in privately-managed off-campus housing.

For our students living off-campus and in Bobcat Village, we know many of you have been without power and water. To assist in this difficult situation effective immediately we are opening the two operational dining halls on campus to ALL Texas State students through Monday, February 22.  Any student who presents a valid student ID will receive a hot to-go meal regardless of whether you have a meal plan. Because the dining halls are also experiencing power outages, we are only able to open Harris Dining Hall (700 Moore Street) and Commons Dining Hall (109 Bobcat Trail) from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.

When conditions improve and we begin to receive food deliveries again from our suppliers, we will open additional dining halls and locations. We know that everyone is doing their best to manage through this difficult situation and want to thank our dining service and facilities staff for working around-the-clock to meet the challenges.

Sincerely,

Denise M. Trauth
President
