A Message from President Denise M. Trauth
November 8, 2021 | Sent to Faculty, Staff, and Students
Dear Students, Faculty, and Staff,
The recent anti-Semitic events perpetrated on Jewish congregations and communities in Austin, San Antonio, San Marcos, and the surrounding area are reprehensible and deeply disturbing.
At Texas State University, we decry these acts of hatred and violence and condemn all forms of bigotry and hate. Our university community stands in solidarity with our Jewish family members, friends, classmates, colleagues, and neighbors who have been impacted by such despicable actions. These acts call us to action, to rise to our values, and to call out these acts as horrific and wrong.
This is a difficult time for many in our community, and we are heartbroken and angry by the pain, fear, and anxiety these acts have caused. For those impacted, please know that your university and your Bobcat family support you.
