Texas State Announces Vaccine Recognition and Incentive Program

Dear Students, Faculty, and Staff,

I am pleased to announce that Texas State University is implementing a vaccine recognition and incentive program beginning September 7, 2021. Our goal is to encourage all Texas State students, faculty, and staff to get vaccinated, and to thank those who are already vaccinated.

Who is eligible?

  • Currently enrolled students and current faculty or staff who have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine recognized by the U. S. Food and Drug Administration or the World Health Organization (WHO)  can enter a drawing to win prizes. 
  • Individuals who get vaccinated off campus or have been vaccinated prior to the announcement of this incentive program are also eligible.  

As a special incentive, students who get vaccinated at the Student Health Center on the San Marcos and Round Rock Campuses between September 7, 2021-October 10, 2021, will receive $10 in Bobcat Bucks! 

 What can you win?


  • Two $500 prizes per week 
  • One employee red parking pass for the spring 2022 semester.  

 Faculty and Staff 

  • One $500 prize per week  
  • One reserved parking space for the spring 2022 semester.
